Adjectives and pronouns in textbooks for the second stage of primary school

The topic of this bachelor thesis is comparing the educational contents on adjectives and pronouns in the current Czech language higher primary school student books. The objective of this thesis is to identify the potential differences in didactic application of the above-mentioned parts of speech and their acquisition at higher primary school. The introductory chapters will be dedicated to the basic terminology. They will be followed by the anchorage of the topic within the curricular documents of the Czech educational system. The following part will analyse and compare the content of adjectives and pronouns. The theoretical base point consisted of the chosen current works from the area of didactics and Czech grammar. The thesis will use both, the empirical-analytical approach as well as the comparative method.
Possessive adjectives - interaction between nominal and hard adjectival inflection

The aim of this work is to complete the view of the Czech gramatics and other studies to the language question of the intraction of possesive adjectives and find out, how the Czech publicists working in chosen commercial media verse in this question of language. In a teoretical part we tried to sum up a picture of possesive adjectives in circumstance Czech linguistics, in a practical part we explained how we approach to the creation of our questionnaire about the use of possessive adjectives of chosen publicists and we described the results of our survey. The main finding was that our respondents tend to answer registry and prefer possessive adjectives before the genitive. This work is beneficial because it summarizes the knowledge referred to in grammars on the subject of possesive adjectives and shows how Czech writers of selected periodicals versed in issues of possessive adjectives.
Comparison of Adjectives in Russian and English Languages from a Linguodidactic Point of View

This diploma thesis deals with the comparison of adjectives in Russian and English languages from a linguodidactic point of view. The theoretical part is based on the general linguistic knowledge of this particular part of speech and explains the rules for the comparison of adjectives in both languages. Furthermore, the theoretical part also provides linguodidactic context of acquiring this grammatical phenomenon. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of pedagogical documents and textbooks used for teaching Russian and English languages. The last chapter of the thesis shows the results of a research focused on testing pupils attending secondary schools. The aim here is to prove the knowledge of comparative and superlative forms of adjectives in Russian and English languages on the basis of a written test. TITLE: The Comparison of Adjectives in Russian and English Languages AUTHOR: Marika Zemánková DEPARTMENT: Department of Russian studies and language teaching methodology SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Lenka Havelková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of adjectives in Russian and English languages. Theoretical part provides characteristics of this part of speech and highlights some differences between Russian and English. Language typology clarifies particularly features which are typical for synthetic and analytical languages. The second chapter is concerned with an overview of possible classifications of adjectives where these classifications are organized according to syntactical, morphological and semantic point of view. Practical part is devoted to the comparison itself. To attain clear arrangement, rules for the creation of comparative and superlative adjectival forms are described for each language separately. The main facts about comparison in both languages are then compared in the last chapter of the bachelor thesis. Evaluative prefixes archi-, super-, hyper-, extra- in present-day French

This work is concerned with using of evaluative prefixes of types archi-, extra-, hyper- and super- in french. The theoretical part concentrates on connecting of these prefixes with different types of words, like nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. We are concerned above all with adjectives, where these prefixes are used when forming an absolute superlative. Further ways of forming an absolute superlative are specified here for comparison with the use of these prefixes. Furthermore, this work examines the use of these lexemes as single standing words. The practical part targets concrete examples of prefix connections archi-, extra-, hyper-, super- with adjectives used by native speakers. The target is to investigate according to which rule these prefixes are connected with adjectives, which one is the most and the least used and if there is any diference in using these prefixes among men and women.
